Hello from the Swan Family

Hello Family,
Hey I have been telling everyone I have stuff to post for a few weeks now so I finally have it together. We have had a few busy weeks so we thought we would share them with you. As some of you know Tanner had a huge oral report due on the State of Alaska, we all learned so much about Alaska getting this report together. He had to stand up and give a thirty min. presentation which included a game, treats etc. He did a fantastic job, Phil and I were so proud of him. And the best thing is that it is over YEA.

Tyler had another awesome baseball tournament in Spanish Fork once again they made it to the finals but lost darn!

As you can see Parker and Phil have a new car to drive, it has made things a lot easier around here having a third car. Now Parker can go get a job.

I was very lucky last week to have the cutest little boy stay with me, I love you Jamison. We had so much fun and yes Papa we went to Jimmy Johns just for you and had a #5 YUM! April 20 Tanners Birthday we went over to visit Grandma, we took cake and ice cream over and had a little party.
She played Happy Birthday on the piano for him.It was a great day.

To top it off we went to the Spaghetti Factory to celebrate Megan and Tanners Birthday. We of course went there for their awesome birthday dessert come to find out they don't do it anymore, Tanner was not happy. Well I guess I have said it all, Mom and Dad we love you so much and miss you tons. Hope all is well with everyone, we love you!!!

Sunday Stuff

Just thought you'd like to see the picture Jamison drew in Primary today. It's a self-portrait of him and the Holy Ghost. Notice the "B" on his hat. I'm just his mom, but I think it's pretty dang cute!

That's it... I'm finally convinced!

Alright all you runners in the family.. I just wanted everyone to know that I've finally made up my mind. I will, before I turn 28, run a marathon. I don't know what marathon it will be, but I will run 26.29 miles. Today was the salt lake 5k, half, and full marathon.. Wow! It was so amazing! Mom, my friend jaime, her mom, and myself all ran the 5k. That's nothing compared to the marathon.. but it's a start. After we finished we went back to the finish line and watched and waited for Jesus to come. He ran the half marathon. He did pretty well finishing in under 1:50:00. We then stayed to watch my friend Abbie cross the finish line (2:25:00). It was her first half marathon so I was really proud of her. About five minutes before Abbie passed us, the first marathon runner came around the corner.. Wooow. That is so amazing! Those Kenyans sure are fast! I got a picture of Jesus and the first place marathoner. Hope everyone is well. And I guess I better start training soon... Ten years not that long to train ;)
Love ya,

Megan

Feelin' Warmth in Ohio!

Hello from Ohio again. Finally, the cold weather is gone and hopefully the warm weather is here to stay. We went hiking today at Charleston Falls in Huber Heights, Ohio today. It's hard to believe that there is a place so beautiful 5 miles from our house. It's 74 degrees and bea-utiful out here. Charleston Falls is a gorge with a beautiful waterfall in the middle of farmlands. We enjoy hiking, walking, taking pictures, and sitting down by the wonderful waterfall. Here are a few pictures from our trip we took today. Well there you go. I hope you have a great time all of you. Bye for now !

Love,
Aunt Dot, Kylie, & Nick.

aaaahhhh....

Well, we haven't got much of anything to report. Thanks to Aunt Susie for watching Jamison while I was in Dallas! He had a blast. So did I. All the women in the family should probably sit down before you read on, but I had my very first pedicure while I was there!!!! It was awesome! I will definitely be doing that more often! Oh - and I got a sneak peak at the 2009 Honda Pilot. Very nice. Go to www. car-data.com to read my review! So it was sunny and 74 in Dallas and when I got back to SLC it was snowing. What the 0*&*&###!!!!????!!!! I'm wearing capri pants today in direct protest. I might even do something extreme like eat a snow cone - oh wait - the snow shacks aren't open yet!!!!! I guess I could always go shovel some from the back yard! I'm posting a picture of warmer times.

It wasn't meant to be....

My "ideal" buyers just fell through. The offer was a cash offer - but they did not disclose that most of the money was coming from rich Grandma Sorenson. They had a fight with her on Sunday evening and she is pulling the money. So, they will be moving into an apartment and my house is back for sale. What happened Saint Joseph? Yesterday I was mad, today I am sad. Now I need to put my house back in order - it looks like a tornedo went through it.

Bottoms Up!!!

Bula Vinaka (thats a big Hello) Here we are at the office Birthday Bash they have every 3 months. The food was as good as it looks. Yes, we are having our first coconut drink with bamboo straws. We feel like all we do is go to parties or out to eat. Rough life. I have done very little cooking since we got here. OK with me. Dad loves all the food. No surprise there. The pizza here is excellent and my favorite. Hope the pictures make it, but if not Cindy will perform her magic. Love to all our family, Mom & Dad

SOLD!

Yes, that is right sold! I have Saint Joseph to thank. Not sure if you know who he is - he is the Patron Saint of Real Estate (in the Catholic Church). In November my friend Tina purchased this Saint for us and told me to put him in the ground. We did as we were leaving town - in a hurry we planted him the the tulip bed and said the suggested prayer. When I next saw Tina she asked me if I placed him head down and if I believed! Not sure on either account. When we returned the snow had started to fall. Now five months later and snow has melted and still not sold the house I started to wonder about our placement. Tina said we should dig him up and do it right this time. Last night after signed the counter offer Britt said we better re-bury Joe. My real estate agent Rosanne who happens to be Catholic told us where and how he needed to be placed. Brittney and I dug him up, placed him face down toward the house and said the prayer - this time with feeling! I said it again this morning. Rosanne called at 9:30am - asked if he had been re-buried, did we say the prayer and if I believe. I said yes, yes and oh yes. It worked - sold! We need to be out by April 30th - yikes! Chris ready for room mates?
